Tilt-Up Warehouse

About Project

This fast-track project utilized a relatively new construction technique in Canada. Tilt-up construction is common in the United States and involves casting concrete panels directly on the structure’s floor slab. The panels are then lifted by crane and secured into place. The concrete panels act as both a finished exterior surface as well as a structured support for the roof members. A significant benefit of tilt-up construction is the control of product delivery; no lead time is required for the manufacturing of precast panels, siding, or structural steel for the building envelope. This 24,000 sf building was completed start to finish in 4 months and ready for occupancy.
